The attractions of earning tax-free salaries coupled with relaxing lifestyle are enough to draw talented professionals toward the Gulf cities. Gulf jobs attract large number of expatriates every year while regions of Middle East, UAE and Gulf have become favorite career destinations for many.

The availability of jobs in Gulf across all sectors including production and manufacturing, oil and gas, travel and tourism, nursing and healthcare, hospitality and aviation, etc. makes it a land of diverse career options. Jobs in production and manufacturing units are growing and so is the hiring for professionals and experts in the field. With the growing interest of foreign investors in establishing their production units in Gulf cities, the business of manufacturers is prospering.

The city of Bahrain aims at becoming the manufacturing hub of Gulf. According to the news reports, launch of Hamad Industrial City will add new dimensions in attracting foreign investments in manufacturing and logistics sectors. Industrial projects like the Hidd Industrial Area, Bahrain Investment Wharf (BIW) and Bahrain International Investment Park (BIIP) have been pumped up with more than $7.6 billion. Such huge investments will result in speedy development of the sector while generating at least 27,000 jobs. This will further create a strong platform for a sustainable manufacturing base, coming closer to attaining the strategic Vision 2030.

Hassan Fakhro, the Minister of Industry and Commerce (MOIC) also said that creation of Hamad Industrial City would help Bahrain in continued economic growth as it is a crucial part of the city's development plans. It helps in translating projections into real jobs for real people and boosting the nascent industrial capability of Bahrain. According to Fakhro, the period after financial crisis would help Bahrain emerge as a "potential Gulf gateway for foreign manufacturers."

The announcement of a new project by Gulf Steel to foster steel production capacity brings in good news. The project will add 400,000 TPA (Tonnes Per Annum) to its existing steel manufacturing capacity, increasing it by 250 percent. Gulf Steel Industries Company based in Abu Dhabi is one of the leading private sector steel manufacturing companies of UAE. This subsidiary of Al-Nasser Industrial Enterprises L.L.C. (ANIE) also launches a new steel rolling mill at Musaffah in an area of 55,000 square metres bringing the manufacturing capacity to 550,000 TPA from 150,000 TPA. Hiring of over 200 employees will also be done to support this huge expansion of the industry.

ANIE had also announced the ground-breaking of two more manufacturing plants with a combined capacity of 600,000 TPA in Musaffah. Apparently, ANIE is set to emerge as the second largest producer of steel in UAE.
