Qatar is undeniably a great place to pursue career goals and is much liberal as compared to other Arab states in Gulf. But it is very important to fetch more information about the country before planning to settle down in it. One has to live and enjoy the lifestyle offered by a place everyday in and out which makes it highly significant to grab as much information as possible. One must know the culture and living standards offered in Qatar inside out before making it a career destination.

Let us take a quick look at some of the features of the state of Qatar. The country has undergone a period of liberalization and modernization resulting in creation of less stricter laws in contrast to other Gulf cities. Qatar may be liberal when compared to Saudi Arabia but still lags behind other Arab states of the Persian Gulf like UAE and Bahrain. Women can legally drive in Qatar which is not easily found in other Gulf States as Islam is a conservative culture. There is a strong emphasis on equality and human rights in Qatar and so, women are given equal rights as men in most cases.

Another interesting feature about living in Qatar is that traveling costs are exceptionally low, petroleum being available at very cheap prices. Qatar has high reserves of petroleum and the government extends this benefit to the denizens by charging minimal prices for petrol. Not only this, Qataris do not even have to pay for their water and electricity supplies at all. The reason attributed for the same is low consumption costs of the fuel due to Qatar's richness in oil and gas production.

Qatar has lowest tax rates in the world, so, whatever amount one earns is entirely for him to save or spend without having to pay taxes. This is particularly attractive for expatriates looking to save money and create a fortune in a matter of few years. Qatar is, definitely, an ideal destination for expatriates looking for jobs.
