All the sectors in various Gulf cities like Oman, Dubai, Sharjah, Bahrain, etc are developing with government shifting focus from oil and gas industry, inviting more workforces from abroad. In fact, in some cities in Gulf, the population of expatriates is higher than the locals underlining the growing need of workforce in the country. Sharjah is the third largest emirate of the UAE and the city of Sharjah is the seat of the government. Thus, it is one of the most desirable career destinations for a large number of expatriates. The jobs in Gulf are popular not only for high salary packages but also for their welcoming lifestyles. This has resulted in attracting thousands of job seekers to different cities in the Gulf like Sharjah, Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, Dubai and many others. Various industries offer jobs in Sharjah at various levels, thus, encouraging the entrance of foreign workforce in the city.

The industrial centre of the UAE is Sharjah with ports on both the Arabian Gulf and Indian Ocean. It delivers more than 40% GDP to the country mainly due to its strategic location. Sharjah earns the benefits of well connectivity with land, sea and air and is especially at apex in regards to the sea- air traffic division. This has led to a higher degree of growth in various sectors in the city ultimately giving birth to larger number of jobs in Gulf. It is always advisable that one introduces him/ herself to the city before taking up a job in Sharjah. It helps one become aware of the working and living styles of the people as well as the law and culture followed.
